Disco icon Nile Rodgers & CHIC heads to Swansea for his only Welsh date of 2020, indie-rockers The Rifles have announced further shows for later this year and Ghostpoet is back with a new record and a performance at Rescue Rooms.

Nile Rodgers & CHIC
Legendary performer Nile Rodgers & CHIC have confirmed a show at Swansea’s Singleton Park on Friday 31st July. It will be his only Welsh show of 2020, so make sure you’re there to dance the night away to iconic tracks such as Good Times, Everybody Dance and Le Freak.
His recent collaborations with the likes of Sam Smith, Lady Gaga and Daft Punk have only furthered his signature sound that is loved around the world – as proved with over 500 million albums and 75 million singles sales.

The Rifles
Currently embarking on an unplugged tour across the country, normal order will be resumed in November when The Rifles set off on another UK run of dates. This time heading to Manchester, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Bristol, London and Dublin – the London indie rockers are one of the most beloved live acts and iconic hits such as Local Boy, Winter Calls and The Great Escape are regulars on their setlist.

Ghostpoet
In support of his forthcoming LP, I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep, two-time Mercury Prize nominee Ghostpoet has confirmed a show at Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms on 22nd November. It follows on from his critically acclaimed 2017 record, Dark Days + Canapes.
Ahead of I Grow Tired…’s release, Ghostpoet has released the brilliant new single Concrete Pony.

The Magic Numbers
Celebrating the 15th anniversary of their eponymous debut album, The Magic Numbers have announced a tour, which includes shows at Rescue Rooms, Brudenell Social Club and Thekla. Their signature sound is familiar to the masses and massive tracks such as Love Me Like You gave the indie-pop outfit the title of being “easy to love” (Pitchfork) with the album’s “hypnotic melodies” (BBC).

Peach Pit
After selling out Electric Ballroom – and most of their tour – immediately, Vancouver indie-pop outfit Peach Pit have announced an exclusive intimate party in celebration of new record, You And All Your Friends (out 3rd April), at the beautiful Hoxton Hall in London on 25th March.
Speaking to Dork about You And All Your Friends, vocalist Neil Smith says it “is a collection of songs about me, people that the band and I care about, and some of the old friends we’ve had over the years.”

Matthew Mole
Cape Town multi-instrumentalist Matthew Mole has announced shows in Brighton, London, Bristol and Manchester. His latest record, Ghost, was released last year and contained Mole’s typical eclectic blend of folk and electronica – he says “while the album contains the usual traits, I have experimented a lot more and introduced a bigger sound in terms of instrumentation.”

Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes
Coinciding with the release of their collaborative effort, Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes will showcase ‘What Kinda Music’ at Manchester Cathedral on 13th May. Brimming with “Dayes’ crackling drums, shimmering synths and Misch’s gentle vocal delivery in a noticeably grittier context than we’re used to hearing,” the pair’s record is one that we are most looking forward to hearing this year.
