Nickelodeon SLIMEFEST

Nickelodeon SLIMEFEST heads to the capital for the first time after a successful half a decade in Blackpool. Promising slime, music and mayhem throughout – longstanding hosts Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely take singer-songwriting duo Max and Harvey and self-declared “professional weirdo” Holly H with them for two performances at The SSE Arena, Wembley on 26th October.

With SLIMEFEST allowing audience members to immerse themselves in the activities and stand in the ‘Slime Pit’ or watch from afar and avoid being slimed, SLIMEFEST is perfect for all ages.

More special guests are to be announced soon.

After the release of their highly praised debut single, Must I Evolve, last year, JARV IS… have revealed details of debut LP, Beyond the Pale. Alongside side it comes tour news – including dates at Bristol’s Marble Factory on 2nd May and Birmingham’s O2 Institute on 3rd May – and another single, this time in the form of synth-doused House Music All Night Long.

Jarvis Cocker has said that JARV IS… was formed in 2017 as a means of “writing songs in collaboration with an audience,” so expect more twists and turns from the iconic creative before Beyond the Pale’s release.

Teenage Fanclub

Scottish alt-rockers Teenage Fanclub head to Nottingham’s Rock City on 12th November in support of a brand-new record. Speaking ahead of the tour, the Bellshill formed quintet said “The five of us headed to Clouds Hill Recordings in Hamburg in late November last year and got stuck into doing what we like best. It felt good to start 2020 with 13 new tunes in the bag.”

De La Soul

Long Island trio De La Soul are celebrating 30 years of hip hop at Rock City on 17th May. For three decades they have released tracks full of inscrutable samplings, whimsically irreverent lyrics, social commentary, light rhythm and laid-back rhymes. Combining jazz, funk, soul and rap – their sound is unique and remained fresh since their formation.

Faye Webster

Following the release of last year’s ‘Atlanta Millionaires Club’, Faye Webster has announced a headline show at Manchester’s YES on 25th May. Having continuously developing her sound since folk-rooted debut, Run & Tell, Webster’s now unpolished, slacker sound draws comparison to the likes of Kacey Musgraves and Natalie Prass (Pitchfork).
