As November draws to a close, plenty of artists have announced shows for 2020 – alongside these shows are some fantastic releases. Rap icon The Game has dropped his new LP, Born 2 Rap ahead of a show at Nottingham’s Rock City, Example’s new single, Do It So Well, is sure to feature on his Every Hit & All The New Bangers tour and The Shires have teased New Year from their forthcoming record, Good Years.

The Shires – New Year

Country-duo The Shires have announced a brand-new record, Good Years, and teased fans with what to expect in the form of New Year. Recorded in Nashville – the undisputed capital of country music – New Year is brimming with harmonious vocals and blissful lyricism, which is the perfect progression from 2018’s Accidentally On Purpose.

The Game – Born 2 Rap (album)

Rap legend The Game is back with Born 2 Rap – which is billed as his final release. Featuring the likes of Travis Barker, Ed Sheeran and Trey Songz across 25 tracks and 90 minutes, it is The Game’s most complete and extensive record yet. Initially being drip fed more than 18 months ago, it will be looked back on as a celebration of everything that the Compton rapper has strived towards during his two-decade career.

Example  - Do It So Well

Example’s ability to create a feel-good anthem is second to none. Since the release of Kickstarts and Changed The Way You Kiss Me, the Fulham rapper has filled floors across the world – now he is back with another huge track – Do It So Well. Dubbing his upcoming tour Every Hit and All The New Bangers, it is fair to say that if Do It So Well is anything to go by, he’s still putting out ‘bangers.’

SPQR – Nuthin Gud

Liverpool art-rock outfit SPQR head to The Grace, London and Gullivers, Manchester in February next year. Alongside brand-new single, Nuthing Gud, SPQR have released mesmerizing visuals which see the band get back to nature in forest-lands and Formby Beach.

Arlo Parks – SOPHIE (EP)

Arlo Parks is one of the most exciting artists in the UK right now. The London-based poet has just released the sensational Sophie EP. It is her first release via Transgressive (Foals, Blaenavon, Marika Hackman) and comes from the influences of MF Doom and Sufjan Stevens – described as “warm and enveloping” by DIY, it is certain to be a release that will be listened to for long beyond 2019.

Seafret – Love Won’t Let Me Leave

Seafret have offered another teaser from their new record, Most Of Us Are Strangers, with the captivating Love Won’t Let Me Leave. The indie-duo have returned to their home of Bridlington for serenity whilst creating the new album – a return justified by Harry Draper because “we just wanted to come off the boil a little bit. We were going flat out.” Coming off the boil hasn’t affected Seafret’s sound, though, and Love Won’t Let Me Leave is as refreshing as debut LP, Tell Me It’s Real.
